In this paper we developed a very efficient method for the
approximation of GLR test-statistic distribution function in
the small-sample case. With this function, it is possible to
design the algorithm for the evaluation of the threshold
values of the test-statistic and to solve the detection
problem for multidimetional signals with an
a-priori unknown spatial coherence. The accuracy
and efficiency of the suggested method was verified by
computer simulations.
