DYNAMIC 3D GROUPING OF ELECTRONS IN BEAMS

OF FINITE DIAMETER

Abstract. The results of the modelling of dynamic 3D grouping of electrons in beams with finite radii confirmed the primary conclusions regarding the feasibility of this grouping principle in inhomogeneous magnetic fields, which were initially established on the basis of a filamentous beam model. It is crucial to highlight that during the dynamic 3D grouping of electrons, the expansion of the harmonics of the beam current does not result in an enhanced density of the spatial charge within the electron clusters, due to the increase in their cross-sectional area. The process of 3D beam grouping in an inhomogeneous magnetic field has the potential to facilitate the development of high-current mobile accelerators for the radiation treatment of agricultural and industrial products.
