Adaptation of the model
of the radar station circular scan indicator

Abstract. In the branch “Vzlet” of MAI in Akhtubinsk in MATLAB program environment was previously developed a computer model of radar station circular view indicator. This model is used by students studying such disciplines as “basics of the theory of radio navigation systems”, “basics of the theory of radar systems”, “basics of the theory of electronic warfare”, “basics of the theory of radio control systems”. As a result of the suspension of The MathWorks (USA) company in Russia, the licenses for the use of MATLAB application software package were revoked. The paper describes the process of model adaptation under Python programming environment. The mathematical methods used in the adaptation, the implementation of the model as a part of the program code, the results of experiments on radar environment modeling, as well as the results of comparison of the two models are presented. The adapted circular indicator model has a great potential for further development to improve the radar environment and bring it closer to a more realistic environment.
