Abstract. The article presents the results of experimental studies of the dependence of the effective values of the complex permittivity of the underlying surface of ground-mounted plate HF-band antennas on surface properties. The obtained dependencies are compared with known analytical expressions. Regression formulas for the effective values of the real part of the complex permittivity and conductivity of the underlying surface were experimentally obtained under laboratory conditions for plate antennas in the form of sectors with an apex angle from 60 to 140 degrees. The regression model was tested under natural conditions on soil with a layered structure in frequency band 5-45 MHz.
Key words: antenna-feeder devices, near-ground antenna, surface antenna, effective complex permittivity.
Financing: The study was carried out at the expense of a grant from the Russian Science Foundation No. 26-12-20019 and the Government of the Omsk Region
