Investigation of Ni in ZnO by the method of unaxial compression

Abstract: The influence of the uniaxial compression on the electron transitions of Ni2+ (d8) ion into ZnO is investigated. It has been shown that splitting and polarized properties of the IR absorption lines are adjusted with the trigonal symmetry and spin-orbital splitting revealed in the previous investigations.
