ON THE RADIATION FROM THE OPEN END OF A CIRCULAR METAL-DIELECTRIC WAVEGUIDE

Analitical formulaes for the radiation pattern of a circular
metal-dielectric waveguide (dielectric waveguide with a metal screen) open end
are received in Kirchoff approximation. Numerical investigation of pattern
characteristics which has shown the possibility of realisation of patterns
(including patterns with circular symmetry) with low sidelobes level on both
polarisations in wide frequency band is done.
