Experimental study of reflections from underlying surface in the radar of airfield surveillance

Abstract. Specific properties of reflected from underlying surface signals in the radar of airfield review with high spatial resolution have been studied. The first statistical moments of echo-signal distribution were researched. Evaluations of clutter rejection ratio with using moving target indication were obtained. Recommendations on the structure of echo-signal processing algorithms for airfield surveillance radar with high spatial resolution were defined.
