Evaluating the efficiency of algorithm of the OFDM signals parameters optimal measurement

Abstract. The article contains the analysis of the optimal receiving algorithms usage features in IP networks with the collective dynamic routing. In this paper communication network signals model is built, optimal receiving algorithms composition variants are considered, the usage of quadrature component of the OFDM signals subcarriers optimal measurement algorithms in the composition of the receiving procedures is settled. Then the conclusion about the sufficiency of the Gaussian probabilistic models for describing signal-jamming environment in the network with collective dynamic routing is made and the data rate selection rule that provide required error probability is derived. The article also considers the comparative analysis of quadrature components estimation variance for the two different methods: the optimal measurement algorithm for OFDM signals subcarrier quadrature components which is based on the minimum standard deviation criterion and the standard one which is based on the fast Fourier transform. The following dependence is shown: intersystem interference power does not impact on on the variance of OFDM signals subcarrier quadrature components if we use the optimal measurement algorithm and receiver precisely known frequency and arrival time of OFDM signals, which allows to provide the maximum data rate on the subcarrier when the signal-to-noise ratio in the communication channel is equal to 30 dB and, while using a standard reception algorithm the specified speed is reduced more than in 2 times.

If the frequency or the arrival time of OFDM signals deviates from the receivers values, the optimal measurement algorithm surpasses the standard FFT algorithm but only if deviation values are small.
