Study of fragment of ultrawideband circular antenna array for scanning in the hemisphere

Abstract. The problem of creating a circular antenna array for scanning in the hemisphere in ultrawideband (greater than 1:100 ) was considered. As an element of the array a new UWB radiator with 180o beamwidth in the H plane was proposed. The results of analysis of radiating and matching characteristics of the element and a fragment of the antenna array using finite element method and the method of integral equations were given. Comparison of results of numerical simulation and physical experiment was done.
