Abstract. There were assessed the physical restrictions of powerful electromagnetic radiation delivery from space platform to Helen island. Also take account of such factors as electrodeless and initiated discharge in the atmosphere, possible change in the thermophysical properties of materials. There were defined the maximum permissible parameters of electromagnetic radiation on the surface of the Earth. That will judge the significance this method for producing energy among alternative modes.
