Abstract. The effects of impulse noise, re-reflected signals from closely located reflectors, high-power signals in neighboring radio-frequency channels, as well as the orientation of the antenna relative to the direction-finding plane on the accuracy of radio direction finding are considered. Methods for compensating the effect of impulse noise on the probability of correct detection due to a digital two-threshold accumulation are proposed, and the accuracy of determining bearing by forming the direction-finding characteristic by the method of averaging the logical primary features in the "sliding" angular sector corresponding to the directions to the source in each antenna revolution. A method for increasing the frequency selectivity of the differential phase finder by means of blanking of switching pulses is also proposed, which makes it possible to exclude the spectral components of the linear spectrum of the frequency-tuned signal from the useful signal band. A method for compensating for direction errors caused by the deviation of the antenna from the direction-finding plane is shown, using a special algorithm in which information about the orientation of the carrier determined by the angles of pitch and roll is used. Also, a method is proposed for correcting the direction-finding errors caused by signal reflections from the structures of the radio direction-finder antenna carrier with the help of pre-introduced calibration coefficients that allow us to extrapolate the possible error in an arbitrary direction and in this way compensate them.
