Abstract. The textile antennas are a special class of antennas that are partially or completely made of textile materials, unlike conventional antennas, which consist of rigid materials. The main advantages of this realization are: low weight, relatively simple design, the ability to use separately and on any surface, including curved and when the object is moving. This article shows possible designs of the textile antennas and also discusses the technologies for their production. The intelligent textile systems are of great interest for application in the various fields. This article examines developments in textile antennas from the perspective of intelligent textile systems. It also presents textile antenna design criteria, performance and operational challenges, and development prospects.
