Abstract. We considered the issues of synthesis of the algorithms for adaptive nonlinear signal processing using feed-forward and feed-back nonlinear blocks under the influence of non-Gaussian noise with unknown density of distribution of instantaneous values or its envelope. It is shown that to plot the adaptive feed-nonlinear blocks, the algorithms for estimating the parameters of linear model of probability density function of noise can be used. This model is presented in the form of a generalized polynomial of decomposition in a series of linearly independent functions, and, also, in the form of nonlinear models. These algorithms were implemented by using nonlinear blocks of discriminators with feed-forward and with approximation of the optimal amplitude characteristic for broadband and narrowband channels to process signals influenced by non-Gaussian noise with unknown distribution of instantaneous values or with its envelope. The mathematical formulas were obtained, allowing us to determine both the values of optimal settings for nonlinear blocks with the amplitude characteristic in the form of a generalized polynomial and the value of the maximum coefficient of noise suppression corresponding to them. It is shown that the proposed algorithms have energy losses resulting from the losses caused by the mismatch of the accepted model of optimal amplitude characteristic and the losses within the mentioned model due to limiting the volume of learning sampling. It is shown that probabilistic iterative algorithms and algorithms with measuring the coefficient of noise suppression can be used to plot the adaptive feed-back blocks nonlinear blocks. Note, that to implement probabilistic iterative algorithms, the ability to differentiate the target function on settings is required. We proposed the algorithm of measuring the actual coefficient of noise suppression using the pilot signal in the nonlinear blocks with arbitrary amplitude characteristics.

Key words: adaptive nonlinear block, probability density function of noise instantaneous values, amplitude transfer characteristic.
