Abstract. In this study, we compared the effectiveness of various antenna excitation models for calculating the input impedance using the method of moments. A range of classical models and their combinations were analyzed and compared. The models were validated using two antennas and commercial simulation software. The models sensitivity to the discretization step of the antenna computational grid is also analyzed. he results of the study showed that the use of combined models is preferable for calculating input impedance, as they provide more accurate results.

Keywords: antenna, input impedance, excitation model, method of moments.
