Problems of statistical simulation of the radar channel for the case of perspective radars, which use signals with complex polarization structure for stable targets discrimination against passive clutter background, are investigated. It is well known that radar system’s performance is the most efficient factor of its operation. The use of parameters obtained as a result of the scattering matrix elements (or its invariants) measuring provides more robust detection algorithms to radar observation conditions, then when using only targets’RCS measurements. A probabilistic model of the radar channel for the case of one-channel receiving-transmitting tract, which allows to estimate the invariant (anisotropy degree) and dynamic (orientation angle of the own polarization basis) parameters relatively the radar measuring basis, is suggested. On the basis of the suggested probabilistic models, the problem of the polarization radars efficiency enhancement is analysed.
