On electron beam grouping in non-uniform magnetic fields

Abstract. During klystron development
it is necessary to take into account fundamental limitations associated with
the growing influence of space charge forces preventing formation of denser
electron bunches. We believe that the refuse of the model of one-dimensional
motion of electron beam and the use of a new principle of formation of 3D
grouping of electrons in an inhomogeneous magnetic field without initial
longitudinal electron velocity modulation will help to avoid these limitations.
