Reducing the development time of transmitting complexes of Radars on the basis of statistical analysis of measurement results

Abstract. The paper considers a method for reducing the time for the development of new models of transmitting radioelectronic complexes (REC) of Radars. The basis of this method is the application of statistical analysis to the results of measurements of electrical characteristics of REC. These measurements were obtained during the testing phase at the stand of the chief designer.

The existing methods of carrying out the stage of test of a new generation REC require the measurement of a large volume of electrical characteristics on all channels of REC. These methods are based on the each channel verification of electrical characteristics of the REC using the measuring devices.

Since the number of output channels in the new transmission complexes reaches thousands, the time spent on carrying out the stage of test in traditional ways, do not allow to provide the required time for the creation of the REC.

The developed method, in comparison with the traditional approach to the development of the REC, leads to a significant reduction in the volume of measurements at the testing phase.

A mathematical task of the method is solved to reach the minimum number of measured REC channels due to the static stability of the electrical parameters of the complex with an increase in the number of measured channels, as well as the minimum list of checked parameters due to the correlation between the measured characteristics. The result of solving the problem makes it possible to shorten the time for the development of new samples of transmitting REC by more than 30%.
