Abstract. The object of the review is modern methods of implementing reflectionless frequency selective circuits (RFCS) Microwave and their use in the creation of radio electronic systems, due to the increasing requirements for improving electromagnetic compatibility and reducing nonlinear distortion during cascade amplification and the use of mixers, as well as reducing reflections from antennas during both radiation and reception. The paper compares the principles of RFCS construction and identifies their areas of application. Special attention is paid to the combination of RFCS with new technical tools, on the basis of which unique non-reflective devices (devices with a low reflection coefficient) are designed to solve universal and single tasks. These are the reflectionless ones: antenna filters, power dividers, mixers, and special reflectionless filters. RFCS differ from traditional frequency-selective circuits in that they remain consistent both in the operating bandwidth and outside it. In the RFCS, the signal components lying outside the operating band do not return to the source when they enter the device, but are scattered or absorbed inside the filter structure itself. This mechanism of operation makes it possible to significantly reduce the level of reflections and ensure stable coordination with other nodes of the radio engineering system. This property is of particular importance in the development of broadband devices containing several receiving and transmitting paths operating in different frequency ranges. The assessment of the current state of development of reflectionless devices and the prospects for studying their use in real systems are given.
Key words: reflectionless filters, absorbing filters, coupled striplines, multifunctional devices.
