Abstract.
The problem of the study of electromagnetic radiation from the electronic
equipment is considered in the article. The precise measurement of
electromagnetic radiation from the electronic equipment is realized in a
shielded semi-anechoic chamber. This equipment is available in a limited number
of organizations. An experimental method for the approximate evaluation of the
electromagnetic radiation from the electronic equipment in position of operation
is proposed in the paper. Personal computers are considered as the example of
electronic equipment. The technique involves the calculation of the difference
of electromagnetic radiation from the operating and non-operating electronic
equipment in the operation area. This technique can reduce the systematic
measurement error. Minimal statistical processing lowers the random error. To
study the electromagnetic radiation from the electronic equipment the selective
measuring receiver RIAP 1.8 and passive log-periodic antenna LPA-1 are used.
Measuring receiver has a range of operating frequencies from 9 kHz to 1.8 GHz.
Basic level of measurement error is no more than ± 2,5 dB. Antenna has a range
of operating frequencies from 300 MHz to 1.8 GHz. The antenna is installed
horizontally and vertically in the measurements. Examples of studies of
electromagnetic radiation from the electronic equipment are presented.
