Wavelet analysis of the dynamics of waves of coronavirus infection, death and relative death from COVID-19 in USA

Abstract. In this work, the wavelet spectra were calculated and studied for time series representing the dynamics of the new cases of coronavirus infection, death and relative death in USA within 17.03.2020 – 31.05.2022. It was found that the Wavelet spectra have characteristic different-scale internal cycles.

Key words: the wavelet spectra, Daubechies wavelet, COVID-19, pandemic, new daily infections, daily new deaths.
