Abstract. Introduction. The article considers the operation of an on-board system for selecting moving targets with internal coherence in the low-duty-duty mode. To solve the problem of simultaneous suppression of passive interference and measuring the range to a target moving on a collision course, extended probing pulses are used, providing Doppler filtering of reflected signals within one probing period with simultaneous measurement of the range to the target. Purpose. To develop and study the means for selecting moving targets of an airborne radar with internal coherence. To demonstrate the possibility of simultaneously solving the problem of detecting a moving target and measuring its range against a background of passive interference in the internal coherence mode with a small duty cycle for one probing period. Evaluation of the efficiency of the proposed method and device for signal processing using machine simulation. Materials and methods. The work is based on the spectral-correlation method for analyzing the statistical properties of signals and devices for processing them. Results. Models of signals and a device for selecting moving targets of an airborne radar with internal coherence in the small duty cycle mode have been developed. Using the machine simulation method, numerical indicators of the efficiency of rejecting passive interference and errors in measuring the range to a moving target have been obtained. Conclusions. The proposed method and device for processing signals in an onboard MTC system with internal coherence make it possible to simultaneously solve the problem of detecting a moving target and measuring its range against a background of passive interference using extended probing pulses in the small duty cycle mode. The results obtained in the article can be useful in designing airborne Doppler radars using MTC tools.

Keywords: passive interference, extended probing pulse, moving target selection system, Doppler filter, passive interference suppression coefficient, range measurement errors.
