Abstract. A high-speed
integrated-optical chemical sensor, being a part of a device with
analog-digital transformation of a signal, is elaborated and investigated experimentally.
As it basis an integrated-optical waveguide of a diffusion type with a low attenuation is used. The advantage of
the schemes of a measurement is marked, in which the analog signal from the integrated-optical
sensor will be transformed to a digital kind with the purpose of consequent
processing of digitized data of measurements on the computer. It is
established, that at the expense of computer registration of digitized measuring
data, the integrated-optical chemical sensor has rather fast time of the
response: no more than 0.2 seconds. The perspectives of use of integrated-optical
sensor of this type are discussed.
