Abstract. The problems
of the specific use of specialized components to create short-range radar system
on the basis of ultrashort pulses with low power consumption based on
single-chip transceiver without the use of high-speed ADC are considered. The
results of laboratory measurements of system parameters are presented.
We
have shown the possibilities of the system practical use as a sensor for
the people detection on the protected territory, a sensor for the
obstacle detection in the technical vision system, a sensor for remote measurement
and control of human breathing and heartbeat parameters in
medicine or for work related with an increased risk, a
portable radar for the people detection over the obstacles, under the
rubble of building structures, under the snow avalanches,
educational laboratory equipment.
Keywords: short-range radar,
ultrashort pulses, ultra-wideband signals, single-chip transceiver, sensor.
