Simulation of a Gregory-type aplanatic two-reflector offset antenna

The results of researches of
two-reflector aplanatic Gregorian offset antenna characteristics are given. The
antenna efficiency and radiation patterns are considered as functions of
scanning angle using optimization of a feed element position and an orientation.
The analysis is based on two successful diffractions of a feed element radiation
by small and main dishes in Kirchhoff approximation.
Comparison of scan characteristics
between symmetrical and offset aplanatic atnennas was performed.
