Abstract.
Two experiments published in the works
by Monstein and Wesly (1992) and Atsyukovskii (2011), which are interpreted by
the authors as observation of longitudinal electromagnetic waves, are analyzed.
It is shown that the results of these experiments can be explained from
positions of classical theory of electromagnetic waves without involvement of
the concept of longitudinal waves.
Keywords: experiments,
longitudinal electromagnetic waves, classical theory of electromagnetic waves.
