Abstract. The quality of the images of objects
in an open area depends on the state of the atmosphere (the presence of
atmospheric formations, mainly hydrometeors). This study examines the increase
in contrast by converting the dynamic range of the image brightness based on
the evaluation of the absorption coefficient of the atmosphere.
