Abstract: This work deals with
development of link budget analyses of telecommunication
wireless links. Our presentation gives more optimistic evaluation of fundamental
limits of maximum achievable data rates of such links up to Terabit per second
values and presented more correct approach to calculations of a budget by well
known Shannon formula if a cryogenically cooled extremely low noise receivers
are used for communications.
Effect of cryogenic cooling on the wireless link rate has been experimentally
proven.
Key words: space telecommunication, low noise receivers,
cryogenically cooled receivers, noise temperature, noise figure, THz waves, millimeter
wave, submillimeter wave communications.
