About testing of numerical methods for solving
highly oscillatory ordinary differential equations

Abstract. This paper exploits a concurrently stiff and highly oscillatory differential
Duffing equation and discusses some numerical methods to solve it. The local
error, the global error, and the error of solutions’ amplitude and period are
examined.
