Algorithm for pointing to a ground station of a phased array antenna beam of a communications repeater on a helicopter-type unmanned aerial vehicle

Abstract. The algorithm for pointing to a ground station of a phased array antenna beam in conditions of instability of an unmanned aerial vehicle is described The search method with storing the extremum of the objective function allows maximizing the average signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver input. The angular instability, beam guidance parameters and the phase distribution in the phased array antenna elements are specified in a quaternion form. A triangular grid defined on the Eisenstein integers allows to increase the search step.
