Abstract. For the location system of time difference of arrival consisting of two arbitrary pairs of receiving stations, an analytical method for solving the problem of estimating the coordinates of a radio emission source in three-dimensional space is proposed, assuming that the height of this source is known or specified.

Key words: time difference of arrival, radio source.
