Abstract. The passing of electric
current through the contact a ferromagnetic rod – a ferromagnetic plate is
considered in a model of magnetic junction of the type rod– film of spin -
injection THz's generator. The actual radius of an electrically conductive part
of a contact surface is determined by experimentally measured contact
resistance of the rod–plate. Essential decrease of radius of conductive area in
comparison with the area of mechanical contact is established. It leads to the increase
in a current density through the contact by hundreds of times up to the magnitude
necessary for emergence of THz - radiation in the considered magnetic junction.
