Abstract. The problem of the application of analytical methods in the design and optimization of complex technical systems of electronic profiles is investigated. Existing analytical methods based on the theory of statistical solutions have limited use due to the fact that in many respects they do not correspond to reality that has become very complicated in recent years. Among these factors is, first of all, the multipurpose nature of the observed situation in radar systems. The second and equally important factor is the lack of adequate and at the same time analytically acceptable structures of the loss function suitable for use in the analytical constructions of the theory of statistical solutions and at the same time reflecting the physical features of the most important applications. In this paper, using the example of defense electronic systems, a number of analytical models are proposed that allow optimizing decisions made and optimizing a number of design parameters of the systems under consideration and their subsystems. Examples of practical application of the proposed approach are given. The proposed technique allows using the numerous achievements of the theory of statistical solutions that have not previously found practical applications. It is allowed to apply the proposed approach in other fields of application.

Keywords: loss function, generating functionality, passive protection, active defense, damage, prevented damage, decision making.
