SOLUTION OF THE SCATTERING PROBLEM ON A ROTATION BODY WITH A PIECE-ANALYTICAL GENERATRICE BY A HYBRID METHOD

Abstract. The problem of scattering a plane electromagnetic wave by a circular perfectly conducting cylinder bounded by hemispherical ends is solved. The hybrid method combining techniques of eigen functions, successive diffractions, and the principle of equivalence was used to solve the problem. The results of calculating the scattering patterns by the hybrid method, the method of moments, and the Huygens-Fresnel-Kirchhoff method are compared.
