Quasi-static modeling of microstrip filters by the method of matrix representations of boundary electromagnetic fields in the resonators

Abstract. This paper discusses quasi-static modeling of microstrip filters using waveguide planar resonator model. Coupling between resonators and edge fields are modeled by an equivalent LC-network. Values of inductances and capacitances are determined from the solving of three-dimensional electrostatic Laplace equation by the method of moments. This approach allows to modeling planar circuits more flexibly, taking into account coupling between microstrip resonators.
