Abstract. In this paper two problems
are considered. The first one is a spectral problem for the area with uniform chiral
filling. The second one is the initial-boundary problem of excitation of
oscillations in a region with a nonhomogeneous chiral filling. The dispersive
equation and the eigenfields are obtained for a spherical chiroresonator. For
the initial-boundary problem a generalized formulation, that can be further
utilized for the numerical solution, is proposed. The existence and uniqueness
of a generalized solution is proved.
