Abstract. Diffraction of
electromagnetic waves by a dielectric wedge is numerically analysed using the
integral equation method. Amplitude and phase characteristics of the equivalent
surface currents, the surface impedances and the scattered fields are analysed
in detail for various incident angles of plane wave. The comparison of
diffracted fields vs physical optics approximation is carried out.
