Abstract. A new method for robust estimation of emitting targets’ location under conditions of material prior uncertainty in asynchronous measurements for the triangulation complex is developed in the course of the joint application of the classical statistical approach, as well as non-conventional approach focused on the principles of continuity, extension and clustering. Models, criterion, and estimation algorithm robust to such uncertainty are presented. Practical recommendations are provided.

Key words: material prior uncertainty, direction finder, triangulation complex, asynchronous measurements, emitting target, robustness, gross measurement error, principles of continuity, extension and clustering, objective function, family of partial estimates, concurrent cluster, posterior weights, final estimate.
