Abstract. Introduction. The problem of transforming real discrete bandpass and bandstop filters into complex discrete filters is considered. Objective. Given the weighting coefficients of real discrete bandpass and bandstop filters, find the weighting coefficients of complex discrete bandpass and bandstop filters. Method. The filter transformation is based on the use of a frequency-shifted bilinear z-transform. The filter transformation is based on the summation and multiplication in the z-plane of the transfer functions of complex discrete filters, which determine the transfer functions of the given real filters. Conclusions. The developed technique allows one to calculate the weighting coefficients of complex discrete bandpass and bandstop filters using the given weighting coefficients of real discrete bandpass and bandstop filters. The amplitude-frequency characteristics of the original and transformed bandpass and bandstop filters are calculated. The materials obtained in this work will be very useful in the construction of coherent systems and signal processing devices, such as Doppler velocity meters and moving target selection systems.
Keywords: discrete bandpass and notch filters, frequency responses, z-transform, weighting factors.
