Accelerated method of determining the distance to the object in the presence of frequency dispersion of the phase velocity

Abstract. A method for calculating the distance to the object in a medium with the presence of frequency dispersion of a phase velocity is considered. An analytical expression is obtained for the probe function characteristic of the dispersion law of collisionless plasma, waveguide structures of electromagnetic and elastic waves. A method for accelerating the proposed method by reducing the computational complexity from O(N2) to O(NlogN) operations using the fast Fourier transform algorithm is proposed.
