Method for increasing the stability of estimates of the pulse characteristic of a linear system based on singular complement of the reference signals matrix

Abstract. The paper proposes a new method for evaluating the pulse characteristic of a linear system, which has increased resistance to noise at its input. Comparative estimates of the effectiveness of the proposed method relative to the effectiveness of the original inverse filtration method and the Wiener method are given. The estimates are obtained under the same conditions on a single simulation mathematical model. As an indicator of efficiency, the integral COE of the difference between the estimation of pulse characteristics and its true value is used. The conditions and methods of simulation mathematical modeling are described. It is shown that the proposed method is superior in efficiency to other methods considered for solving the inverse scattering problem and can be used in data transmission systems for estimating the pulse characteristic of a channel, as well as in radar for resolving nearby objects.
